Vocational training at Schulte & Schmidt

We are always delighted to welcome school pupils to our company to get to know it better by doing a work placement.

We provide our apprentices and trainees with qualifications in accordance with the latest profile of the occupation. And what is more, we also help them to think and act independently and strengthen their sense of responsibility and health consciousness as well as their soft skills and team spirit.

As part of the "MACH MIT!" apprenticeship campaign, we were honoured with an award back in 2004 in recognition of our being a "training-friendly firm".

We currently have 30 junior employees in no less than seven different apprentice careers. As a general rule we also take on our apprentices after completion of their training and give them the opportunity to gain qualifications for further attractive job opportunities by attending diverse internal and external in-service training courses.

Schulte & Schmidt supports and encourages its apprentices from the very start.?To make things as interesting as possible for young people starting out on their careers, we offer a whole package of attractive conditions.

For example:

• In-house English courses
• Modern models for working hours (such as flexitime in the commercial and technical sections)
• 15% subsidy for pension contributions
• Skills days – for example for support for key qualifications at the Hubert Schwarz experience centre
• Strengthening of social skills through cooperation with schools ("Come with me" project)
• Additional health day called "AZUBIFIT"
• Sports activities (for example, an annual football tournament, including weekly training sessions, participation in the corporate challenge run or the "On your bike to work" programme run by the AOK)
• In addition to our company outings we also organise separate day events for our apprentices. In the past the destinations for these excursions have included the Audi Centre in Ingolstadt and the Lufthansa Aviation Centre in Frankfurt
